Play Therapy is "Play with a Purpose." The purpose is to allow your child to express their concerns in a comfortable environment so that behavior problems can be addressed and corrected. This treatment is also helpful for children who have experienced early trauma, separation and divorce or loss of a parent. The child therapist works in close partnership and consultation with parents, foster parents, schools and medical providers to provide a uniform and comprehensive course of treatment. Treatment consists of creative play, role-playing, therapeutic games, art therapy, sand tray therapy, imaginative storytelling, and projective techniques.
